The following list serves as a warning to what can happen if things get out of control.
1. Andy Powell
The former Wales and Wasps flanker was banned from driving for 15 months after taking a golf buggy onto the M4 motorway following a night of heavy drinking.
He told a court he commandeered the vehicle to go and get some “munchies” from a service station before being pulled over for a breath test that he, naturally, failed.
2. Mark Jennings
The 26-year-old flew into a lager-fuelled rampage when officers turned up at his £475,000 family home to question him about a domestic incident.
The 6 ft, 15-stone dad-of-one,
according to the Sun, headbutted one PC while telling him to “f*ck off and get out”, before telling another he was going to rape her as he was escorted into the back of a police van.
3. Martin Castrogiovanni
The Italian prop was suspended by his club Racing 92 in 2016 after pictures of him partying in Las Vegas surfaced on social media with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The 34-year-old had told Racing that he could not play in their Champions Cup semi-final clash with Leicester Tigers as he had a family matter to attend to in Argentina. Naughty boy.
4. James O'Connor
He had his Australian central contract ripped up after an incident at Perth airport, where it is alleged the intoxicated playmaker was refused entry onto a flight.
It now looks like they've forgiven him with the playmaker set to make his Wallabies return at the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
5. Danny Care
England scrum-half Care was arrested in Leeds last year to complete a hat-trick of alcohol-related incidents in the space of three months.
Care, who was serving a drink-driving ban at the time, was caught urinating against the wall of a building after a night out just weeks after being taken into custody for drunk and disorderly behaviour on a night out in Surrey.null
6. Mike Phillips
Lions scrum-half Phillips was sacked by his former club Bayonne for allegedly turning up drunk to a video analysis session. This incident came two years after he was involved in a late-night altercation in Cardiff city centre.
7. Zac Guildford
The All Black wing, who has admitted to being an alcoholic, stunned onlookers in a Rarotonga bar when he arrived wet, bleeding, drunk and, of course, naked, before proceeding to assault two holidaymakers.
Months later he was in trouble again after getting so drunk at a house party he punched the wrong person.
8. Gavin Henson
The one-time star of Channel 5’s ‘The Bachelor’ has entertained rugby fans for years with his off-field shenanigans but one man who clearly had no time for jokes was new Bath team-mate Carl Fearns a few years back.
The big flanker used a pre-season team night out to lay Henson out with a punch at the Pig & Fiddle pub that has now become a YouTube classic.
9.Danny Cipriani
The one-time golden boy of English rugby is no stranger to controversy but things took a turn for the worse when he was arrested during pre-season with Gloucester during a tour of Jersey.
Other drunken escapades ended with the playmaker receiving a ban from driving and hospitalisation following a collision with a bus in Leeds.
10. Mike Tindall
Prominent royal and World Cup winner Tindall was kicked out of the Elite Player Squad and fined £25,000 after his part in a drunken night at dwarf-themed club night in Queenstown during the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
Tindall was caught on CCTV canoodling with a woman in a second bar despite telling coach Martin Johnson he had returned alone to the team hotel after the dwarf party.
