PWR: Round 6 Recap - Gloucester-Hartpury pushed to limits by Trailfinders to stay unbeaten

Exeter Chiefs dominated the West Country derby against Bristol Bears at Sandy Park, extending their winning streak with clinical precision. Harlequins bounced back from their previous defeat with a commanding performance over Leicester Tigers at Welford Road, while the Tigers secured their first point of the campaign. At the StoneX, Saracens maintained their relentless run with a convincing victory over Loughborough Lightning in stormy conditions.

In a pulsating contest at Kingsholm, Gloucester Hartpury edged out Trailfinders Women in a game that had the crowd on their feet until the final whistle. Trailfinders struck first with Alana Borland crossing immediately after a period of sustained pressure, compounded by a sin-binning for Natasha Hunt. Gloucester Hartpury responded almost instantly as Jade Shekells bulldozed over to level the scores.

The home side then seized control, with Neve Jones and Kate Williams powering over in short-range drives to establish a 19-7 half-time lead. Sarah Beckett, making her 50th appearance, further extended the advantage early in the second half, only for Trailfinders to hit back through Vicky Laflin under the posts.
