The Harlequins and England star shared the news on Instagram with a series of holiday snaps from Sardinia, showing Beth proudly displaying a sparkling engagement ring alongside the simple caption:
The announcement was quickly flooded with congratulatory messages from across the rugby world.
England teammates Henry Pollock, Jack Nowell, Chandler Cunningham-South and Jordan Riki were among those sending their best wishes, while fellow Harlequins star Danny Care wrote: "My guy ❤️❤️ Congrats you two."
The couple have been together for several years and regularly share glimpses of their travels together on social media. The proposal appears to have taken place during a romantic getaway in Sardinia, with photos showing the newly engaged pair celebrating by the sea.
