England player removed from pitch with injury in warm-up to Italy clash

Tom Curry was witnessed to be limping to the side-lines of the Stadio Olimpico, under the aid of two England coaches.

The Sale Sharks man looked in some clear discomfort as he was withdrawn from the pitch, as England ran through their pre-match preparations in Rome.

Curry was selected to start in the back row for Steve Borthwick's side, in a much changed match day squad from the previous side that suffered defeat to Ireland. Sam Underhill has been promoted up to the bench, as the Bath man was initially named amongst the replacements for the clash with the Azzurri.

Having traveled along to Rome as a reserve, Chandler Cunningham-South then gets the nod to join up with the bench. This last minute change marks a 10th alteration to the side that was defeated by Ireland a fortnight ago, in what is a record setting number of changes for England head coach Steve Borthwick.
