Brian O'Driscoll leaves Owen Farrell out of his Lions backline

Ireland legend Brian O'Driscoll says there is no room for Owen Farrell in his Lions backline, but does think the England captain will make the squad.

Revising his original selection when speaking to Off The Ball
this week, England duo Farrell and Manu Tuilagi both drop out of his backline.

15. Stuart Hogg (Scotland)
14. Anthony Watson (England)
11. Louis Rees-Zammit (Wales)

BOD SAID: “You look at the calibre, you want X-factor and guys who can win games on their own I look at 15 and 14 immediately in Hogg and Watson. The other wing is a three-way shootout between May, Rees-Zammit and van der Merwe."

CENTRES:

13. Jonathan Davies (Wales)
12. Robbie Henshaw (Ireland)

BOD SAID: "Henshaw has been brilliant and has played his way into the XV. Davies has been solid, but also has a lot of credit in the bank with Warren Gatland."

HALFBACKS:

10. Johnny Sexton (Ireland)
9. Conor Murray (Ireland)

BOD SAID: "Sexton is tried and tested and is playing really well. There is not much between him, Owen Farrell and Dan Biggar. Murray is now right back in the mix and has probably benefited from nobody else playing particularly well."
