For the first time ever, 24 nations will compete for rugby’s biggest prize, making this the largest World Cup in history. Once all teams have officially qualified, they’ll be seeded according to their world rankings, determining how the draw unfolds.
The format is simple: the 24 nations will be split into four bands based on their rankings.
- Band 1: Teams ranked 1–6
- Band 2: Teams ranked 7–12
- Band 3: Teams ranked 13–18
