Tshakweni had a difficult evening and was unable to make a major impact before leaving the field after just 27 minutes. The Bulls struggled for possession during his time on the pitch, limiting his opportunities to influence the contest.

Else was given a difficult assignment against an All Blacks pack that controlled large periods of the match. He battled away but struggled to make the desired impact as New Zealand took control.

A frustrating evening for Klopper. He was shown a yellow card after the ball struck him as he ran in the same direction, leaving the Bulls down to 14 men at a crucial stage.

One of the Bulls' better performers. Vermaak gave his side some much-needed energy after half-time and produced a strong run before crashing over for the Bulls' opening try.

Van Heerden had limited opportunities to impose himself as the All Blacks dominated possession and territory. A difficult night for the Bulls lock.

The Bulls' standout performer. Coetzee never stopped fighting and was rewarded with a try 73 minutes into the game. His powerful carries provided one of the few consistent sources of momentum for the home side.

Liebenberg showed plenty of resilience and was involved in several defensive efforts. He also had a try ruled out earlier in the match, making his night one of frustration as well as determination.

Rudolph was one of the Bulls' better forwards and produced some excellent work with ball in hand. His involvement in the build-up to Jacobs' try was particularly impressive. Although he was penalised for not releasing inside two minutes and later had an incident of his shorts pulled down and shown on the TMO.

A difficult evening for Papier as the Bulls struggled to secure enough possession to establish any rhythm. He was unable to exert the influence needed to slow down New Zealand's tempo. This is not the standard expected from him.

Bosch had some encouraging moments and successfully converted two of the Bulls' tries, including Jacob’s score. His involvement in the second-half attack improved as the Bulls finally began to find some rhythm.

A bright spot for the Bulls. Jacobs scored once and showed plenty of attacking intent throughout the second half. His finishing gave the Bulls something to celebrate on an otherwise difficult night.

The midfielder put in some strong defensive work and was particularly noticeable when attempting to stop the All Blacks' dangerous outside backs. He showed good commitment despite the pressure after the first half.

Gans had a difficult job defensively but showed some quality touches, including strong catches and impressive evasion. He was one of the Bulls' more encouraging backs.

Abrahams showed plenty of pace and contributed defensively. He was willing to put himself into the contest, although the lack of possession limited his attacking opportunities, missing a tackle later in the game.

The veteran fullback had a difficult evening as the All Blacks repeatedly put the Bulls under pressure. His experience was useful, but he struggled to impose himself on a game dominated by New Zealand.
