The series against South Africa will go to a decider after the Springboks won a fiery second Test 27-9 at Cape Town Stadium.
A heated first half saw the tourists lead 9-6 at the break with Dan Biggar kicking three penalties and Handre Pollard slotting two.
The hosts took the lead just four minutes after the restart when Makazole Mapimpi opening the try-scoring before Lukhanyo Am crossed on the hour mark to make it 18-9.
Pollard then slotted three late penalties to secure the win and set up a series finale next weekend.
Both sides will have to raise their level once again in what promises to be a thrilling series decider on Saturday, 7 August.

Loosehead-prop: Mako Vunipola: Give away a penalty early on but recovered to carry, tackle and scrummage relentlessly. 7
Hooker: Luke Cowan-Dickie: His place is safe next week due to the horror show from replacement Ken Owens. 7
Tighthead-prop: Tadhg Furlong: Didn’t take a backward step in the scrum or in the loose around the park, covered tonnes of ground, got through loads of work with typical gusto. 7
Lock: Maro Itoje: The undoubted best player in the world won a number of lineout steals as he bullied the Springbok second-row once again. 8
Lock: Alun Wyn Jones (captain): Massive work-rate: his leadership kept the Lions on track. The tourists top tackler. 7
Blindside-flanker: Courtney Lawes: Far less influential this week and beaten far too often in the air for such a big man. 6
Openside-flanker: Tom Curry: Work rate and energy level was an example to anyone in a red jersey. Did the unseen work of a blindside at times and showed his appetite for a scrap. 6.5
