  • Fly-half Dan Biggar's ankle injury is "not long-term"
  • The 26-year-old limped off against Ireland on Sunday as Wales drew 16-16
  • Rhys Priestland deputised at number 10 for almost an hour in Dublin
Wales will decide whether outside-half Dan Biggar is fit enough to play against Scotland later this week.
Biggar was forced off in the first half of Sunday's RBS 6 Nations 16-16 draw with Ireland in Dublin with what coach Warren Gatland described as a "high ankle sprain" and there were fears the 26-year-old could be out for some time.
"Dan Biggar has made excellent progress with (his) ankle injury. Indications are it is not considered long-term," the Welsh Rugby Union said on Twitter.
"Decisions over his availability for this weekend to face Scotland will be made later in the week."
Wales coach Warren Gatland was scheduled to name his side to face Scotland on Wednesday morning, but the team announcement has now been put back to Thursday.
If Biggar doesn't make it, Gatland is likely to choose between Rhys Priestland, who replaced Biggar at the Aviva Stadium, and Gareth Anscombe, if the Blues pivot recovers from a hamstring issue
