"TV Gold" - BBC cross to Kevin Sinfield at worst possible time

A great moment on BBC Breakfast News this morning as they went live to Kevin Sinfield on his ultra marathon run for Rob Burrow.

Reacting to the clip, one fan wrote: "Couldn’t have timed that better…."

"This. Was the best bit of TV for a long time," commented a second.

A third wrote: "Was very funny especially when a little while later the interviewer kicked off the interview with 'that was a long leg',"

"So he is human added another."

His epic ultra 7 in 7 has raised over one million pounds for those living with and affected by motor neurone disease.

The Ultra 7 in 7 challenge will support five charities which support people affected by MND, and invest in research to bring us closer to effective treatments and a cure for the disease.  

The main beneficiaries will be the MND Association and Leeds Hospitals Charity’s appeal to build the Rob Burrow Centre for MND in Leeds.

However, there will also be donations to MND Scotland, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation and the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation plus support for the 4ED campaign to support former Gloucester and Leicester Rugby Union player Ed Slater, who was recently diagnosed with MND.

The 75-year-old scored 20 tries during a remarkable unbroken run of 53 Wales caps over the course of a decade, while there were also 10 Tests for the Lions over three tours.
