Transfer News: Gloucester confirm the signing of forward

The hooker, who is 26, will join up with Gloucester after signing the paperwork this week on a short-term deal into the new year.

His arrival at Kingsholm boosts the squad’s front row stocks, following an injury to Franco Marais.

Talking about the injury cover signing, Ackermann said: "We’ve got Jaco Visagie. He’s just arrived on a short-term deal, helping us whilst we’ve got this injury list, especially since James [Hanson] got injured on the weekend.

"We’re excited, I’ve always rated him as a quality player when I was in South Africa and he’s a good team guy.’’
