Wales legend Taulupe Faletau turned back the clock with a colossal display as Cardiff edged Munster 26-21 in a thrilling BKT URC showdown at a packed Arms Park.
The 34-year-old No.8, who picked up the Player of the Match award, was simply everywhere — topping the carrying charts with 17 and making 21 tackles in just 63 minutes on the field. Oh, and he threw in a try assist for good measure!

Contract talks looming

Out of contract in June, the 106-cap back-rower admits he’s still unsure what the future holds.

“I don’t know where I will be playing next season yet," Faletau revealed. "It’s just been up and down, playing and not playing, so to get the run of games the last few weeks has been good. I am just happy to get out there with the boys. Hopefully we can keep on winning and see where we get to.”

Cardiff boss Matt Sherratt added:

“I don’t know yet. It’s something we will chat about over the next couple of weeks, but Taulupe is enjoying it here.”

Bristol Bears in the hunt

RUCK understands that Bristol Bears head coach Pat Lam is very keen on bringing Faletau to Ashton Gate next season, with a lucrative one-year offer reportedly on the table.
The move could suit all parties, with the powerhouse No.8 able to stay close to his family home in Wales — and Bristol bolstering their pack with one of the game’s finest.
