The RFU have released a statement regarding the future of London Irish's next generation. There could well be hope for the talented young Exiles, as the RFU confirmed their intentions to work with London Irish's Academy and age group teams.
The news comes after the RFU suspended London Irish from English rugby, after failing to provide financial assurances on the club's future. The RFU announced how they "can confirm it intends to take on the running of the London Irish DPP (Developing Player Programme) and Academy for the U18, U17, U16 & DPP age groups."
London Irish's esteemed academy side has also produced an assortment of international caps. Chandler Cunningham-South has recently been selected for the England U20s squad, for the ongoing 2023 U20s World Championships, and the likes of Kepu Tuipulotu and Ralph McEachran in the England U18s side.
