Exeter Chiefs have confirmed that long-serving coach Ricky Pellow will leave the club next month after 16 years on the coaching staff.
The former Bath, Worcester and Cornish Pirates scrum-half joined Exeter in 2009 as skills coach, arriving when Rob Baxter was first appointed head coach. Over the years, Pellow took charge of the sides that lifted the Premiership Rugby Cup in 2014, 2019 and 2022.

His departure leaves Baxter as the last remaining member of the coaching team that steered the Chiefs from Championship promotion in 2010 to two Premiership titles and a historic European Champions Cup triumph in 2020.
The news comes in a season of sweeping coaching changes at Sandy Park. Exeter endured their worst-ever Premiership campaign, finishing second-from-bottom. Fellow stalwarts Rob Hunter and Ali Hepher also exited the first-team setup following April’s record 79-17 defeat away at Gloucester.
Speaking to the club website, Pellow said:
"I've had 16 amazing years here at the club, so it's an emotional decision to leave but it is one that enables me and my family to experience a new adventure.
I've made some unbelievable memories as a Chief. Being Cornish, I'm very family-orientated and Chiefs really has been another family to me, so it's not just the players and the staff that I'll miss but the supporters too. We've always been in it together.
Working so closely with some great men in the playing and coaching group has really helped to shape me as a person. I'll look back on so many moments and cherish them."
