Sir Clive Woodward picks three England stars in his Lions back-line

World Cup-winning coach Sir Clive Woodward has selected the British & Irish Lions back-line he’d pick to take on the Springboks this summer.
There’s no room for the likes of Finn Russell, Liam Williams, Garry Ringrose, George North or Robbie Henshaw.

BACK-THREE:
- 15. Stuart Hogg (Scotland)
- 14. Anthony Watson (England)
- 11. Louis Rees-Zammit (Wales)
Woodward said: "On the wings young Louis Rees-Zammit and Anthony Watson, returning from injury, have been on fire."
CENTRES:
- 13. Henry Slade (England)
- 12. Jonathan Davies (Wales)
Woodward said: "If Jonathan Davies can steer clear of injury and maintain full fitness, Warren Gatland will turn to the great Wales centre."
HALFBACKS:
- 10. Owen Farrell (England)
- 9. Gareth Davies (Wales)
Woodward said: "To beat South Africa, I believe you will need either Owen Farrell or Jonny Sexton at 10 and I’ve gone with Farrell, who among other things, seems to steer clear of serious injury."
