With Soccer Aid rolling around again, we thought it timely to look back at the interesting England XV fielded for Rugby Aid in 2015.
The game was in aid of RUGBY FOR HEROES of which England captain Mike Tindall MBE is Patron.
The Rest of the World ultimately won the match 36-29 at Twickenham Stoop.
One of the standout moments of the game was Jamie Laing (Actor Made In Chelsea) being absolutely smashed by former All Black Brad Thorn.
The Rest Of The World XV included celebrities such as Gethin Jones, Colin Murray, Jamie Baulch, Matt Johnson, Brian Mcfadden, Julian Lewis Jones and Craig Doyle.
ENGLAND'S CELEBRITY PLAYERS:
Louie Spence (dance expert)
He might be a natural on the dance floor, but he proved he's got what it takes to hold his own on the rugby pitch too. Spence actually appeared to square up to Shane Williams during the game.
Vassos Alexander (Radio 2/5 Live)
He is currently the sports presenter of
The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Virgin Radio. Alexander hosts the Parkrun podcast, he is a motivational speaker and serves as an ambassador for the young person's charity SkillForce.
Gary Beadle (Celebrity Geordie Shore)
In 2015, he appeared in the second series of Ex on the Beach, and later returned to take part in the All stars fifth series in 2016. In 2019, Beadle began starring in the MTV series Geordie OGs, a spinoff series of Geordie Shore.
Harry Judd (McBusted)
He is the drummer for the band McFly. Judd also won the 2011 series of Strictly Come Dancing.
JB Gill (JLS)
He is best known as a member of boy band JLS, who came second on The X Factor in 2008. They went on to have five number-one singles and sold over 10 million records worldwide before disbanding in December 2013.
Rav Wilding (TV Presenter)
He is a British television presenter, and police officer in British Transport Police whose former professions include security guard at Harrods, soldier and having served in the Metropolitan Police Service prior to becoming a presenter of Crimewatch between June 2004 to December 2011. He has presented Crimewatch Roadshow since 2009.
Paul Sculthorpe (Rugby league)
He began his club career at the Warrington Wolves before joining St Helens, with whom he won a total of four Grand Finals, four Challenge Cups and two World Club Challenges, as well as becoming the first (and currently only) player to win the Man of Steel Award on two consecutive occasions.
Terry Hollands (England’s Strongest Man)
He is a competitor at the World's Strongest Man and Europe's Strongest Man competitions.
Kelvin Fletcher (Actor Emmerdale)
He played Andy Sugden in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale, a role he played from 1996 until 2016. In 2019, Fletcher won the seventeenth series of Strictly Come Dancing
Tom Parker (Pop Star The Wanted)
The popstar, who sadly died earlier this year aged 33, achieved 10 UK top 10 singles and has released 3 UK top 10 albums. The band also achieved widespread international success and has sold over 10 million records.
Rory Jenkins (Cricketer)
Rav Wilding (TV Presenter)
Prior to joining the police, Wilding served in the British Army and worked as a security guard at Harrods department store in London. He is best known for his role as a presenter on the BBC TV show Crimewatch Roadshow.
Dion Dublin (Footballer & TV presenter)
Born in Leicester and of Nigerian descent, he was capped four times for England. Dublin started his career as a centre-back with Norwich City Reserves, but made his name at Cambridge United as a centre-forward. He then went on to other clubs which included Manchester United, Coventry City, Millwall, Aston Villa, Leicester City and Celtic.
