PREM Team of the Week - Noah Caluori and Gabriel Hamer-Webb hit 5 stars

The stand-out sensation came from Saracens, as teenage England hopeful Noah Caluori bagged himself five tries in his side's emphatic drubbing of Sale Sharks. If this feels like a bizarre case of deja vu, then you'd be right to remember how Caluori achieved this very same feat earlier in the season, with 10 tries against Sale now to his name for the 2025/26 PREM campaign.

Gabriel Hamer-Webb also delivered a five-star performance, as the Wales international ran riot, and Leicester put Newcastle Red Bulls to the sword for a one-sided win at Welford Road. A barnstorming West Country derby delivered the hard-hitting goods under the Friday Night lights, as Bristol Bears pulled no punches in their impressive home thumping of Gloucester.

We kick off our picks for the Team of the Week with flying Argentine fullback Santiago Carreras. The Bath man had arguably his strongest outing to date in the blue, black and white of the Somerset club, as he exploded out the gate for a try after just three minutes. Carreras completed his brace before the half hour mark, and showcased tremendous versatility with a positional shift to fly half in the latter stages.

Once again Noah Caluori is the most talked about England hopeful from across the Premiership, as the Saracens sensation scored five tries against Sale for the second time this season. After missing out on an England debut in the Six Nations, the incoming Nations Championship fixtures against South Africa, Fiji and Argentina could hand the 19-year-old his first Test this July. Some astonishing finishing, electric footwork and an unfaltering work-rate upon both sides of the ball, Caluori looks to be the real deal.

Pivoting back to the men in blue, black and white, and Ollie Lawrence had a tremendous performance in the one-sided hammering of Harlequins. Whilst Lawrence is so often revered for his game-breaking carries, it was the England man's passing that stood out this past weekend. Lawrence collected two assists, the first being a neat offload to scrum half Tom Carr-Smith, before he sent a looping miss-pass out to Guy Pepper for a walk-in score on the touchline.

Keeping it all things England, Fraser Dingwall was once again the proverbial 'glue' that bound together the high-flying Saints back-line. In what was by no means a straight-forward victory over an Exeter side that continue to find their groove, Dingwall delivered a distribution masterclass in green, black and gold, with a trio of assists to his name. Dingwall provided clutch passing for Ollie Sleightholme, Henry Pollock and Fin Smith to all reap the rewards over the whitewash.

We make the short trip across the East Midlands for our next entry, as Gabriel Hamer-Webb simply could not be contained upon the latest clash at Welford Road. Newcastle had no answer for the Wales international, who collected five tries in the one-sided win over the Red Bulls. Pace personified, Hamer-Webb is really coming into his own as a Tiger, as he sunk his claws into the crumbled Newcastle back-line for repeated trips across the try-line.

With an underwhelming Six Nations campaign firmly in the rear-view mirror, Fin Smith is steadily clicking his way back to his feared top gear. The Northampton man was at his calm-headed best on the weekend, as he guided his men in green, black and gold to a pivotal win over the Chiefs. Smith pulled the strings, played in George Furbank for a stunning assist and emptied the tank with an exhaustive defensive shift across 20 tackles. Add in the match-winning try and some impressive footwork for a stellar performance.

There were a trio of potential scrum halves all capable of taking the nine jersey this week, with honourable mentions in store to returning Northampton halfback Alex Mitchell and Bristol Bears man Kieran Marmion. However, we tip the cap to Tom Carr-Smith, who was unfazed by his late call-up to the Bath XV after Ben Spencer suffered an injury in the warm-up. Carr-Smith sniped around the breakdown to wreck havoc upon the Quins, and ran the line with a rapid rate of distribution. A well taken try capped off his afternoon for a dutifully deserved place in the Team of the Week.

Moving onto the forward pack now, and the opening spot goes to the one and only 'Baby Rhino', who was unleashed out the enclosure in the latest West Country derby. Genge tore the house down upon both sides of the ball, in the loose and at the set-piece. The England man is arguably the most in-form loose-head prop in the world right now, as he picked up his personal rivalry with Afo Fasogbon, as the two clashed in the Ashton Gate tunnel at half-time.

Whilst Leicester's one-sided win over Newcastle Red Bulls will be best remembered for Gabriel Hamer-Webb's five-star try-scoring, the win would have been a lot tougher to come by without the Tigers' impressive front row. Jamie Blamire laid the foundations of the landslide victory, with a clinicians display at the scrum, and inch-perfect line-out distribution. The England international also collected two tries against his former Falcons, as he continues to flourish in life 'down south'.

We return to the dominant Bristolian front row, who sunk their teeth into the Cherry and Whites this past Friday night. George Kloska was equally as pivotal to the set-piece success to that of Ellis Genge, with the English-qualified tight-head throwing his name into Steve Borthwick's plans for the incoming Nations Championship. Kloska carried with a thunderous first step, which repeatedly splintered the Gloucester back-line. However, the marquee moment saw the prop make a try-saving tackle after 21 minutes.

The heart-beat of the Saracens pack, Maro Itoje was once again a leading man upon the Londoners' road to victory. In a similar fettle to Jamie Blamire being overshadowed by Hamer-Webb's five Tigers tries, Itoje sat out of the spotlight for Noah Calouri to shine. However, the England and Lions lock was a relentless workhorse around the park, with an eye to disrupt the Sale forward pack at the maul, line-out and ruck.

Whilst there is no doubt that Harlequins find themselves in quite the slump, Kieran Treadwell can take some personal pride from the heavy defeat to Bath this past weekend. The lock picked up a rare try, as he muscled his Londoners forward for a trip across the whitewash. Steady in the air and a constant presence at the breakdown, the 30-year-old has taken another stride forward to be Harlequins engine room leader, with Joe Launchbury set to retire at the end of the season.

Samoan international Theo McFarland slots into the back row, after a brutally brilliant performance for Saracens upon the blindside flank. An ever reliable option for the Londoners upon their arduous trip to the North West, McFarland wrestled his way over the gain-line time and again, to be a constant thorn in the side of Alex Sanderson's men. Couple this crash-ball dominance with some astute off-loading straight from the Pacific Islands, and McFarland was the total package this past Sunday.

Taking the spot on the open-side flank this week is Fitz Harding, with the Bristol Bears man disrupting an all-Saracens back row for our Team of the Week. All the same, we hand an honourable mention to Ben Earl for a breathless performance against Sale, but Harding's efforts against Gloucester put the cherry on cake. After his first try was chalked off, Harding fought his way over the try-line to get his name in lights. Some excellent off-loading - including a stunning one-handed line-out take - kept Bristol on the front foot for repeated trips to the try-line. Rightfully handed the Player of the Match award on the night.

We close out our picks for the Team of the Week with a man that Saracens fans will be sad to see depart at the end of the season. There is no denying that the Londoners - and England for the matter - have let go of a real gem, with Tom Willis bound for Bordeaux in a few months time. Willis was unplayable at times in Saracens' hammering of Sale, with a barnstorming 17th minute try seeing him parry away Sharks defenders on his way to the whitewash.
