Three players Eddie Jones should call-up after 'world-class' performances

Despite Eddie Jones resistance to picking in-form Gallagher Premiership players, here are three standout stars who impressed over the weekend for their respective clubs this weekend…
#1. Tommy Freeman (Northampton Saints)
- Age:21
- Position: Wing, Fullback
The speedster sent a timely reminder to Eddie Jones as he scored a clever brace as Northampton moved up to fourth in the Premiership by beating Exeter 26-19 at Franklin's Gardens.
Asked if Freeman was the next man in the pecking order for England, Northampton director of rugby Phil Dowson said: “I think Eddie is obviously a big fan and when I’ve chatted to him about it in the past he’s been very positive about him.
"We were really pleased to have him back for this evening, but for how much longer he stays in our environment – I don’t know.”
Tommy Freeman facts:
- Freeman was released by the Leicester Tigers academy at the age of sixteen for 'being too small' before signing with Northampton Saints
- He supported Harlequins as a youngster as his Father was based in London with the RAF
- Freeman has been in a long-term relationship with Ashleigh Inwood.
- He received his first call-up to the senior England squad by coach Eddie Jones for the 2021 Autumn Internationals
#2. Josh Beaumont (Sale Sharks)
- Age: 30
- position: No.8, Flanker, Lock
The son of England legend Bill Beaumont was the star performer as Sale Sharks got back to winning ways with a 27-17 win against Gloucester at the AJ Bell Stadium.
The combination of a bad knee injury and then a hamstring tear kept Beaumont out for the entire 2021/22 campaign.
However, back to his best, we'd love to see a first England call-up since 2016.

- Beaumont is the son of former England rugby union captain Bill Beaumont
- He studied Geography at Durham University between 2010–2013 and was part of St Aidan's College, Durham
- Beaumont has been in a relationship with fellow Durham University alumni Ailsa Mackie since early 2016
- He received his first call up to the senior England squad by new coach Eddie Jones on 13 January 2016 for the 2016 Six Nations
#3. Ollie Lawrence (Bath RFC)
- Age: 23
- Position: Centre
Ollie Lawrence was the hero as Bath secured back-to-back wins as they edged past Newcastle Falcons 17-10 at Kingston Park.

Lawrence, who was a surprise omission from the England squad, claimed the crucial try before Brett Connon's last-gasp penalty gave the hosts a losing bonus point.
Ollie Lawrence facts:
- Lawrence burst onto the Warriors scene in November 2017 with a try on his first-team debut against Sale Sharks in the Anglo-Welsh Cup
- On 31 October 2020 he made his senior England debut from the bench in their delayed final Six Nations match against Italy which they won to win the tournament
- He scored his first try at international level against the US in a 43–29 win
- awrence joined Bath Rugby in October 2022 originally as short-term injury dispensation cover before committing his long-term future to the club
