In his formative years at Saracens, George Kruis, the former England lock, faced an uphill battle in his quest to transform his physique from a perceived "skinny" frame.
At a towering 6 feet 6 inches and a formidable 18 stone 5 pounds, Kruis defied the notion of being lightweight.
Nevertheless, his journey at Saracens commenced with uncertainty, as he narrowly avoided rejection from the academy, having already been deemed too slender by Harlequins.
His remarkable transformation, getting up to a weight of 120kg, ultimately elevated him to the status of a high-caliber international force in the rugby world.
However, after retiring, Kruis has lost a lot of that bulk as he moves into a different lifestyle as the co-found of CBD and Wellness brand fourfive
Kruis, who is operating as a Line-out technician for England during the 2023 World Cup, took a lot of banter for his dramatic weight loss upon his return to the squad.
Richard Wigglesworth quipped how Kruis now looks very different from when he was a player. “He has lost a lot of weight,.
“He got a bit of stick this morning for his weight and he actually compared his body to mine. He was 117kgs when he played. Not the best compliment for him.”

Amazing body transformations of 6 rugby stars, including McCaw and Pocock

These rugby players have enjoyed a remarkable body transformation over the years, with some bulking up while others seriously slimmed down.

RICHIE MCCAW

The All Blacks legendary captain has revealed he's dropped 17kg since retiring, shifting what he called 'unnecessary rugby muscle'.
Since hanging up his boots following their 2015 World Cup triumph, McCaw has become obsessed with ultra-hardcore marathons and has shifted a lot of that weight to give him a speed advantage.
The 41-year-old, who weighed 107 kg, is now closer to 90kg since dropping the weight.

DAVID POCOCK

The Wallabies legend started out as an skinny 78kg teen who worked day in and day out to transform himself, with his size and strength came at a cost, Pocock told Australian Story.
