Tensions came to a boil inside the Estadio Dragao, as Edin Dzeko squared up to the notorious Pepe before embarrassingly hurling himself to the floor during the Champions League clash between Porto and Roma.
One major critic of the incident was popular rugby referee Nigel Owens.
"Embarrassing behaviour by Dzeko," tweeted the Welshman.
"Yellow Card both or at least stern talking to the both of them for the foreheads to foreheads.
"But then a red card should to be given to Dzeko for his play acting and trying to get Pepe sent off.
"No matter what sport it is this is not acceptable."
