Welsh rugby sensation Louis Rees-Zammit has taken a leap across the pond, signing up with the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs.
The 23-year-old, who garnered attention from multiple NFL teams including the New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, and Denver Broncos, confirmed his move in a video shared on social media platform X.
In the clip, Rees-Zammit expressed his excitement about joining the Chiefs and meeting the fans at Arrowhead Stadium.
As part of the 2024 International Player Pathway (IPP), Rees-Zammit aims to carve out a niche in the NFL, eyeing a dual role as both wide receiver and running back.
With his sights set on securing a spot in the regular-season roster, Rees-Zammit faces the challenge of transitioning from Welsh rugby to American football.
The former Welsh international bid adieu to the Six Nations tournament earlier this year, announcing his intention to pursue a career in the NFL.
