LIST | Four new signings who have struggled post-lockdown

The England speedster has struggled to impress since rejoining the cherry & whites in June, with Louis Rees-Zammit and Ollie Thorley making him look bang average. The 30-year-old has so far made six appearances since lockdown - totalling 418 minutes - without crossing the whitewash.

To put that in context, he'd scored four tries in just over 300 minutes for Leicester before making the move back to Kingsholm. Not the sort of form he'll be happy with heading into the Autumn Internationals, or with the British & Irish Lions tour quickly approaching.

After failing with bids to sign superstars Dan Carter and Pieter Steph du-Toit earlier in the year, the 26-year-old Springbok has arrived as an uninspiring marquee addition. His delayed debut seems to have massively disrupted his start to life at Quins with two underwhelming performances thus far.

The centre has struggled to get near the ball, and when he has, you never know what's going to happen in the worst sort of way. Despite clearly being a quality player in brief bursts, and I mean brief, we need to see him used more effectively by a Quins backline more often interested in kicking the ball away.

The centre arrived at the black and golds with the intention of putting himself in the shop window for a potential England call-up. Instead, he's been in and out of the team, and more often than not found himself playing second-fiddle to a 36-year-old Jimmy Gopperth.

Things recently went from bad to worse as it was confirmed he's broken a bone in his foot and is likely to be ruled out for three months. To add insult to injury, all his departure from Worcester has done is allow exciting prospect Ollie Lawrence to get more minutes, and now he looks set to be the man called-up by Eddie Jones.

The former England U20 star always seems to be forced to onto the sidelines just as he seems to be regaining decent form. Since joining Saints in June, the 27-year-old made four appearances, three as a replacement, but has now has been ruled out with a hip injury.

Auterac, who arrived at Franklin's Gardens following an unsuccessful stint with Harlequins, had once been called up by Eddie Jones, but looks miles from that standard currently.

Hopefully, if he can stay injury free, we can see him back to his very best soon enough.
