Known for his strong leadership and no-nonsense approach to the game, the legendary Ireland and Lions captain Paul O'Connell is often perceived as the best rugby leader of all-time.

He captained his country 28 times and also led the Lions in three Tests. Here’s five reasons he was the best captain of all-time…

1. His huge hits
