LIST: 5 potential Lions who impressed this weekend

Here are the five players we think may have impressed Warren Gatland with their individual performances:

The returning Welsh international showed why he is still one of the leading back-row players in the world, not missing a tackle as well as shining in attack as Bath edged past Gloucester. As well as his defensive display, Faletau also shone in attack making 31 metres from his nine carries including finishing his side's only try well, and coming close to adding a second after the break. Are you watching, Eddie Jones and Warren Gatland? He was in top for as Northampton overcame Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park. The flanker delivered an Test-match-style display, appearing to be everywhere at once as he influenced the game hugely in attack and defence.

With no scrum-half currently ripping it up in the Six Nations, Webb picked up his third consecutive player of the match award as Ospreys beat Zebre 10-0. He produced the one moment of magic with an inspired individual try.

The spots in the Lions midfield are still very much up for grabs at the moment. Marchant, who making his 100th appearance for Quins, looked in fine form this weekend - scoring two tries as they blew past Sale Sharks.

The Welshmen was also exceptional off the tee for Bristol Bears against London Irish, kicking all four of his conversions and also showed his game management ability. If he can keep this consistency, he could develop into a serious option for Gatland to look at.
