Here is a list of the five English players who impressed the most during the latest round of Premiership fixtures this weekend.
1. Zach Mercer (Bath Rugby)

- Height 6'3"
- Weight 110kg
- Position Number 8
Bath continued their move towards the Gallagher Premiership play-off positions by beating Worcester 22-21 at Sixways.
The number eight made his first start for the club since November after returning from a knee injury and it was like he had never been away, scoring a try in the first couple of minutes and playing pivotal roles in almost everything Bath did well.
Mercer made more metres in attack than anyone else in his side, making 58 from 23 carries as he was extremely busy.
2. Alex Dombrandt (Harlequins)

- Height 6'4"
- Weight 120kg
- Position Back-row
Yet another try.
With Eddie Jones in attendance, the Premiership player of the month for January was impressive once again despite his teams disappointing 29-15 loss against London Irish. This guys been on fire.
What's better than calling up one number eight? Get two in!
3. Harry Randall (Bristol Bears)
- D.O.B. 18 December 1997
- Height 5'8"
- Weight 72kg
- Position Scrum half
He'd certainly offer Jones something different, bringing real pace to the game as he showed around the pitch against Northampton Saints. He also held his own against World Cup-winner Cobus Reinach and caused the South African some problems at the back of the scrum
Randall played a key linking role in Henry Purdy’s try, being on the shoulder like all good scrum halves.
4. Elliott Stooke (Bath Rugby)
- D.O.B. 10 September 1993
- Height 6'7"
- Weight 117kg
- Position Lock
The second row had an exceptional game against Worcester, taking control under the high ball at restarts and in open play and being a key man in the line out. If you're picking an England squad picked solely on form, the Bath man would be in there without a doubt.
5. Tom Woolstencroft (Saracens)
- D.O.B. 18 September 1994
- Height 6'0"
- Weight 104kg
- Position Hooker
The hooker was the star man as Saracens put their off-field issues behind them to secure a convincing 36-22 Gallagher Premiership win over Sale Sharks.
Three defenders beaten, two offloads and a line-out success of 80%, which is bloody good considering the conditions, made him undoubtedly the man of the match.
Definitely put his hand up for a surprise call-up.
