Leicester Tigers vs Gloucester player ratings: Hosts win the Slater Cup

Solomone Kata ran riot as Leicester Tigers crushed Gloucester in a dominant display. The Tongan centre scored a sensational solo try and set up another, helping Leicester secure their fourth straight league victory.

The hosts crossed the line seven times, with only a late 20-minute red card for replacement hooker Charlie Clare—after a dangerous clearout on Jack Clement—marring an otherwise perfect evening.

Gloucester, second from bottom and with just one win at Mattioli Woods Welford Road in 18 years, never came close to changing that miserable record in a disappointing showing.

It was particularly tough for captain Tomos Williams, who struggled defensively in a forgettable outing during a week that also confirmed he will leave the Cherry and Whites at season’s end.
