Leicester Tigers confirms 14 departures, list includes multiple internationals

They’ve gone from teenage sweethearts to one of England rugby’s power couples.
Leicester Tigers have confirmed that a significant number of players will leave the club at the end of the 2024/25 campaign, with several high-profile names among those set to move on.
Among the confirmed departures are international stars and key squad members, including Handré Pollard, Julián Montoya, and Dan Kelly.
Five of the departing players already have moves lined up, including Pollard’s return to the Bulls in the URC and Kelly’s switch to Munster. Josh Bassett is heading to Worcester Warriors in the Championship, while Jamie Shillcock will move to France with Brive, and James Whitcombe will join Edinburgh in the URC.

In addition to those confirmed destinations, the club has announced that James Cronin, Kyle Hatherell, Tim Hoyt, Matt Rogerson, and Archie Vanes will also depart Welford Road at the conclusion of the season.
Côme Joussain’s loan from Nottingham will also come to an end, and he will return to his parent club.
There’s also change coming in the academy ranks, with Harry Beddall joining Dragons Rugby, and Malelili Satala also heading to Edinburgh. Academy trio Harry Clarke, Charlie Davies, and Henry Mountford will also move on.
Speaking on the announcement, Tigers General Manager Richard Wilks said:
“All of these players have contributed a great deal in their own memorable ways during their time at Leicester Tigers.
While we’ll say our goodbyes in the right way at the end of the season, the job’s not finished yet. There’s a lot to play for, and every one of these lads is determined to finish on a high.”
