Jim Hamilton picks five Scots in his 'shocking' Lions XV

The latest episode of The Rugby Pod saw Jim Hamilton pick his Lions XV with five Scotsman including Hamish Watson and Stuart Hogg selected.

Fans were baffled by the 63-cap Scotland internationals decision to name out of form England fly-half Owen Farrell in his team and as captain.

There were also some doubts over his inclusion of FIVE Scots in his XV despite their impressive Six Nations.

I realised when I was putting these down that maybe I don’t know much about back play because I desperately wanted to put Keith Earls in because of how he has played but I didn’t. I went for Duhan van der Merwe and Liam Williams. At fullback, Hogg is an obvious pick."

HAMILTON SAID: " I have gone Faz (Owen Farrell), as captain. Regardless of his performances and question marks, I don’t think there is anyone else. I say that with the utmost respect. He is a big Test match player. Ali Price is physical, quick at the base, he has got a kicking game."

HAMILTON SAID: "I have put Maro Itoje in there but my other lock is Iain Henderson. That’s quite a ballsy call but the work he got through and the physicality that he produces every game, if he is fit he is in.
