ITV confirms channel change for England vs Argentina

The match in Santiago del Estero had initially been earmarked for ITV4, with football's FIFA World Cup taking priority on the main channel. However, England's dramatic World Cup semi-final defeat to Argentina earlier this week means ITV's planned football coverage has changed, allowing Steve Borthwick's side to return to the broadcaster's flagship channel. 

Coverage of Argentina v England will begin at 7:15pm on ITV1 and ITVX ahead of the 8:00pm BST kick-off.

The fixture rounds off a bumper day of international rugby on ITV, with every Nations Championship Test available free-to-air across ITV1, ITV4 and ITVX. 

The switch means England supporters won't need to move across to ITV4 as originally expected, with the match now receiving prime-time billing on ITV's main channel. 

England head into the final Test of their South American tour looking to complete a series sweep over Argentina after victories in the opening two matches.

A third consecutive win would provide another major boost for Steve Borthwick's squad ahead of the autumn programme, while also maintaining England's strong start to the inaugural Nations Championship.
