The Italy vs France player ratings after the French got their Six Nations off to the perfect start in Rome.
France have not won the Six Nations since 2010, but their resurgence under new coach Fabien Galthie continued with an emphatic 50-10 bonus-point win.
The visitors started strong with tries from Dylan Cretin, Gael Fickou, and Arthur Vincent - with the boot of Matthieu Jalibert to make it 24-3 at the break. Paolo Garbisi got the hosts on the scoreboard with a penalty
Further tries from Brice Dulin and Antoine Dupont along with a brace from speedster Teddy Thomas put the icing on the cake for the away side.
Italy did get a consolation try through Luca Sperandio, but it meant very little in the end.

Despite having one less foreign-born player than 2020 (16), Gregor Townsend’s roster still contains more than any other competitor in the Six Nations. Of note is that that over half of the Foreign-Born players qualify via a Grandparent. This qualification path may not survive should World Rugby adopt additional tightening of eligibility laws.
