Harlequins sign 135kg Argentina international for next season

Harlequins have bolstered their front row with the signing of Argentina tighthead Pedro Delgado ahead of the 2025/26 Gallagher Premiership season.
Delgado links up with fellow Argentinian and Dogos XV teammate Boris Wenger, who was confirmed by Quins last week.

The 27-year-old prop has impressed in Super Rugby Americas and already has five international caps for Los Pumas. He started in Argentina’s Rugby Championship opener against New Zealand in Córdoba last week and keeps his spot in the XV for this weekend’s Test.
Delgado came through at Old Lions Rugby Club in 2015, spending eight years there before joining Dogos XV in 2023. A year later he made his Test debut in style – helping Argentina defeat world champions South Africa in his hometown of Santiago del Estero.
He will join up with his new teammates once the Rugby Championship concludes.
Delgado said:
“I’m really proud to join Harlequins. This is a new chapter in my career, and I’m looking forward to challenging myself in a new rugby environment in England.
The Club has a rich history and big ambitions, and I want to give everything I can to help achieve them. I can’t wait to get to work with my new teammates and play in front of the supporters.”

“Pedro is a very exciting signing, adding to the arrival of his Club and international teammate, Boris [Wenger].
Pedro has gained international experience in the last couple of seasons which is invaluable, and tighthead is a specialist position that we need to build depth and competition in.
He’s at a great stage of his career and powerful operator at the set-piece and around the park. We’re looking forward to welcoming Pedro into the Quins family and seeing how he performs in the Quarters this season.”
