Liam Williams could quit Wales following pay dispute

The 31-year-old full-back is under contract at Cardiff but it won't stop clubs in the Far East from making a move for the 83-cap international.

The ongoing pay dispute in Welsh rugby may have put Japanese and French clubs on alert and made them more eager to sign Welsh players.

A new deal could mean the WRU can only pay players in the region of £280,000.

According to Wales online, it is currently unknown if Williams is interested in moving to the Far East.

Ultimately, the decision on whether to stay in Wales or move to Japan will be up to Williams and will depend on a variety of factors such as his personal and professional goals, family situation, and financial considerations.

If he did make the controversial move, Williams would still be edible for Wales due to his accumulated caps.

Farrell added: “When you watch him, and I watched him play for London Irish and saw that unbelievable try he scored against Toulon, you think ‘brilliant’.
