The 2027 Guinness Women’s Six Nations has officially been locked in, with the tournament once again featuring a five-round, Super-Saturday format.

There will also once again be a blockbuster finale, as England host France in Round Five to potentially decide the Championship. The competition will run from Saturday 10 April to Saturday 15 May 2027, with all fixtures staged across consecutive Saturdays and one fallow week between Rounds Three and Four, continuing the “Super Saturday” model that has helped drive record audiences and attendances in recent editions.
Once again, the Women’s Six Nations sits at the centre of a rapidly expanding global calendar for the women’s game, with broadcasters including the BBC and S4C (UK), RTÉ and Virgin Media (Ireland), and France Télévisions (France) confirmed as key rights partners.
Momentum from record-breaking 2026
The fixture release lands as the 2026 Championship continues to set new benchmarks across the board.
So far, the tournament has already delivered:
- 209,692 total attendance across early rounds (+98.5% year-on-year)
- 12.85 million TV viewers across core markets
- 70 million views and 1.9 million engagements across social platforms
- A record 77,120 crowd at Allianz Stadium for England v Ireland
The Championship’s continued growth has reinforced its status as the premier annual window for the women’s game in the northern hemisphere, with all six unions benefiting from increased visibility and commercial momentum.
A settled format designed for growth
As in 2026, every round in 2027 will again be played on a Saturday, creating a consistent weekly rhythm for fans and broadcasters. Each matchday will feature three consecutive fixtures, maximising exposure and allowing the tournament to “take over” the rugby weekend.
The structure also continues to support development pathways, with the Women’s U21 Six Nations Series returning alongside the senior competition in a “double-header city” format, staging age-grade fixtures in the same locations on the same matchdays.
The U18 Women’s Festivals will also remain a key part of the wider pathway ecosystem, feeding into elite rugby development across the unions.
