Five players SNUBBED by Steve Borthwick in latest England squad

While several fresh faces have earned opportunities, a number of notable names have been left out despite strong claims for selection.

Here, we take a look at five players who can count themselves unfortunate to have missed out on a place in the squad.

Lawrence's omission is one of the more surprising selection calls. When fully fit and in form, he has established himself as one of England's leading centres, despite an injury-disrupted campaign this season.

His Six Nations involvement was limited due to fitness issues, with his only appearance coming as a substitute against Ireland, where he crossed for a try.

A powerful ball carrier and reliable defender, the 26-year-old appears to have been overlooked in favour of Benhard Janse van Rensburg. Given Lawrence's proven international pedigree and potential to contribute for years to come, his absence is difficult to understand.

Radwan remains a divisive player among supporters, but there is little doubt about his ability to find the tryline.

The winger has scored 12 tries this season and continues to offer genuine attacking threat. Alongside his pace, he has improved other areas of his game, particularly his defence and physicality.

Competition for places on the wing is fierce, and although he was involved from the bench against France XV last weekend, he ultimately missed out on selection. Even so, his finishing ability could have added a different dimension to England's backline.

McParland being left out may be linked to fitness concerns, although it remains unclear whether he is still recovering from the deep knee laceration he suffered during Northampton Saints' Prem final victory.

The young scrum-half has enjoyed a breakthrough season, stepping up impressively during Alex Mitchell's absence and establishing himself as one of the league's standout performers.

On recent form, he has arguably outshone Mitchell and looked deserving of a place in the squad. At just 21 years old, he also represents an exciting long-term prospect for England.

With Theo Dan still finding consistency at Test level, this summer appeared to be an ideal opportunity for England to assess another young hooker with significant potential.

Tuipulotu has impressed throughout the season for Bath, showcasing the power, athleticism and skill set required of modern international forwards.

His performances suggest he could have benefited from exposure at the highest level, making his omission a notable one.

Another notable omission is Dingwall. The Saints centre has unexpectedly fallen out of favour, both at club level and with England, despite doing little wrong to warrant it.

While he wasn't at his absolute best during the Six Nations, his value as a "glue player", someone who brings the best out of those around him, should not be overlooked. With so much attacking talent already in the squad, his skill set would have complemented the group well.

That makes his absence all the more surprising, particularly given the inclusion of Janse van Rensburg.
