Scotland rugby ace Finn Russell just levelled up his summer—he’s engaged to long-term partner Emma Canning.
They might not have the worldwide fame of Swift or Kelce… yet. But 32-year-old Russell and former Scottish heptathlete Canning have had one hell of a few months.

Between dazzling on the field for the British & Irish Lions in Australia and signing a new long-term deal with Bath Rugby—helping them to a Premiership title—Russell’s summer has been non-stop.
Off the pitch, he and Canning are parents to two daughters, Charlie and Skye, and now a wedding is on the horizon. Canning shared the happy news on Instagram while Russell enjoys a five-week summer break in Cannes, France, before returning to Bath in October.
The couple has been together for several years, weathering a brief split in 2021 before rekindling their romance. Canning, who boasts over 20,000 Instagram followers, regularly gives fans a peek into her glamorous life with Russell.
Before moving to France and then Bath, she competed as a heptathlete for Scotland—a far cry from trolls dismissing her as “someone whose only talent is being in a relationship with a talented person.”
Canning quickly retorted, "Actually—there's room for two Scottish athletes in our relationship. Lol," accompanying her response with a video of her long jump competition.
Clearly, she’s got plenty of talent herself… and now a fiancé to match.

Claudia “Chief in Command” Moloney-MacDonald — England
Dynamic, versatile, unstoppable. Claudia Moloney-MacDonald can shine at scrum-half or wing, and she’s been doing just that for Exeter Chiefs Women. A Six Nations Grand Slam winner in 2019 and a World Cup veteran from 2021, she’s back again to bring pace and passion to the Roses.
