Fiji team to face England at Twickenham - Autumn Nations Series

Fiji head coach Mick Byrne has named his side to take on England, in the second week of the 2025 Autumn Nations Series. This match marks the first England vs Fiji meeting at the Allianz Stadium since their unforgettable 30-22 triumph at the home of English rugby in the Summer of 2023.

This win was a milestone moment as England were defeated at home by a Tier 2 nation for the first time. Fiji have named a side packed with Gallagher PREM experience for Saturday’s clash. The forward pack is bolstered by Saracens prop Eroni Mawi and Northampton Saints lock Temo Mayanavanua, with Bristol Bears number eight Viliame Mata rounding of the scrum.

Mata's West Country club mate Kalaveti Ravouvou takes a spot in the centres along with Racing 92 powerhouse Josua Tuisova. There is a solid influx of Super Rugby starpower, with Fijian Drua fly half Caleb Muntz taking the reins in the 10 jersey.

“We’ve trained really well and at pace. We had a couple of live blocks in there and the boys really got stuck into each other. They’re ready to play,” head coach Mick Byrne said.

“I always have a bit of a gauge after a really hard session from the sort of noise the boys are making as they’re recovering. It was really loud today (Thursday). It’s really exciting and there’s a lot of good energy around.

“There’s a lot of strong energy about performing for our fans and our families back home, so I know the boys have got that at the top of their minds.”

Fiji and England last met in the quarter-finals of the 2023 Rugby World Cup, with Steve Borthwick's side able to overcome their undoings from the Summer for a hard-fought 30-24 victory. Fiji returned to the Allianz Stadium in the Summer of 2024 for a losing effort in a high-scoring clash against the Barbarians, that ended 43-32 to a side boasting former England stars Danny Care, Ben Youngs, Jonny May, David Ribbans and Kyle Sinckler.
