Faf de Klerk joins former England international as Barbarians confirm squad to face Wales

Following the earlier confirmation of double Rugby World Cup-winning Springboks Faf de Klerk and Vincent Koch, along with Wallabies forward Lukhan Salakaia-Loto, the famous invitational side has added further international firepower to its ranks.

South African centre Jeremy Ward is among the latest names to join the squad.

Head coach Scott Robertson has also called on a strong French contingent led by experienced lock Romain Taofifenua, who has earned 49 caps for Les Bleus. He is joined by Jordan Joseph, Tom Spring and Yoan Tanga.

Former England number eight Nathan Hughes, who won 22 caps for his country, returns to Twickenham as part of the Barbarians squad. Bristol Bears hooker Harry Thacker has also been included.

The squad's international flavour is further strengthened by Georgian prop Gia Kairasvili, USA international Jack Iscaro and Samoa's Paul Alo-Emile.

The Barbarians head into the match after an impressive attacking display against the reigning world champions at Nelson Mandela Stadium last weekend, where they crossed for five tries in a thrilling encounter that ended with over 110 points scored.
