Legendary rugby player Andy Goode recently provided a significant update on his remarkable weight loss journey in the past month.
Throughout his illustrious career, Goode gained popularity for his resilience in resisting the conventional notion that a fly-half should possess a sleek and agile physique.
Despite facing challenges due to his size, this glove-wearing sports icon continued to excel in the top echelons of European rugby, refusing to let his larger-than-average stomach hinder his performance, both literally and metaphorically.
However, following his participation in a challenging Wattbike program, Goode has successfully shed an impressive 14 kilograms or 2 stone 2 pounds.
Noticeably looking a lot slimmer, Goode posted on Twitter writing: "End of week 5 of my: @wattbike challenge and I’m 14kgs/2 stone 2lbs down! 1 week and a few more Kgs to lose I hope! #whothehellhaveIturnedinto"

LIST: 5 rugby stars who lost a ton of weight after retiring

Here we have a look at five international rugby players who lost a ton of weight after they finally hung up their boots.

1. Richie McCaw (New Zealand)

Since hanging up his boots in 2015, the two-time World Cup winning captain has taken up endurance sports such as cycling and kayaking. Despite losing a lot of muscle mass, he's still very much a physical beast.

2. Phil Vickery (England)

The World Cup-winning prop has transformed his body since hanging up his boots. Vickery, who won the 2011 series of Celebrity Masterchef, has recently opened his new Cheltenham restaurant, No.3, after the Coronavirus pandemic delayed first orders. He’s literally half the man he used to be.

3. Matt Dunning (Australia)

When he was a prop for the Wallabies Matt Dunning weighed 130kg and was constantly mocked for his tubby frame. But since retiring from rugby union the 35-year-old has lost a staggering 40kg, dropping from 25 per cent body fat to just 11 per cent in six months.

4. James Haskell (England)

The former England flanker - who signed for MMA promotion Bellator last August - after his retirement from rugby has dropped a ton of weight ahead of his first fight. A trip into I'm A Celebrity Get Me out Of here sure did help him get lean. This sort of diet isn't recommended.

5. Lee Mears (England)

The former Bath and England international rugby player retired from the game due to a life-threatening heart condition. Trying to stay healthy has since became a priority and it's fair to say he's looking amazing!
