Eddie Jones doesn't put up with ill-discipline or poor performances. So, who were the players he's argued with? Who was sent home? Did they get another chance? read on to see...

1. Manu Tuilagi

Tuilagi’s hopes of resurrecting his England career were hanging by a thread in August 2017 after he was sent home from a pre-season training camp by Eddie Jones, who was said to be furious with the centre after drunken night out. He came back from this and was a key player as England reached the 2019 World Cup final.

2. Denny Solomona

Along with Tuilagi, the Sale winger was also sent packing in August 2017. It was understood that after the whole squad went out for a meal on Sunday evening and returned to the team hotel in Teddington before Tuilagi and Solomona ventured out again. He won three more caps as a replacement during the tour of South Africa, but never featured prominently again.

3. Mike Brown

Ben Te’o, capped 18 times, and full-back Brown, who has 72 caps, were reportedly involved in an “altercation” at a social event during the team’s training camp in Treviso in August 2019. A serious injury ended his 2019/20 Premiership season with Quins, but it appears the scuffle has also ended his international career.

4. Ben Te'o

Despite the clash with Brown, Te'o's absence from the 31-man group was notable, given the way Jones had continually picked the former rugby league star over the previous three years. He ended any chance of a recall by signing for Toulon.

5. Ellis Genge

The 24-year-old Leicester forward revealed during the 2020 Six Nations admitted he has had his differences with Jones, who gave him his Test debut in 2016. They had a major argument following the 38-38 draw with Scotland during the 2019 Six Nations, where the Aussie blasted his fitness. However, as a result Genge rallied, improved and used the criticism to grow as a player and become an England regular.
