"England prop set for Wales debut – against England" - Three former England stars make international debuts

Coach Kieran Crowley has officially announced the line-up for the Italian men’s rugby team ahead of their showdown with Ireland on Saturday at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Odogwu will finally make his debut this weekend.

The speedster, who was part of England's 2021 Six Nations squad, has named Benetton as his new club following the conclusion of his short-term deal with Stade Francais. 

The 26-year-old Coventry-born wing, who is of Nigerian and Italian descent, had been capped by England at age-grade level.

Former England prop Thomas makes his Wales debut against England in Cardiff this weekend.

The prop qualifies for Wales via his father Nigel, who hails from Swansea, and has been included in Warren Gatland’s training squad for the global-tournament in France this autumn, with Thomas eligible under the World Rugby rule change that allows players to switch allegiances if they were born in the country they want to represent or have a parent or grandparent born there.

There’s a further specification that such players can switch only after a three-year stand-down period from international rugby. However, Thomas hasn't played for England since 2014 so is free to pull on the famous red jersey.

Also set to make his Italy debut this weekend, Lamb joined Harlequins’ full-time Academy ahead of the 2016/17 season and made his senior debut in September 2017 against Northampton Saints.

A versatile forward, Lamb represented England at age-grade level helping the U20s finish as runners-up in the 2017 U20 World Championships and 2018 U20 Six Nations. 

Lamb came on a replacement in the 2021 Premiership Final against Exeter and won his 50th cap for the Club in Harlequins began their title defence in the 2021/22 season. 

Lamb was included in the Italy training camp for the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
