England player ratings vs Ireland. Eddie Jones' men suffered a first loss at Twickenham since the Rugby World Cup as Ireland went onto win the Grand Slam.
15-Anthony Watson: Missed the high ball(Mike Brown might have caught it?), which went loose and allowed Garry Ringrose to open the try-scoring. He then went off injured. 3/10
14-Jonny May: Theresa May could tackle better than Jonny May. An incredible athlete but sometimes looks like a lost puppy at times. Took his try well at the end mind. 6/10
13-Jonathan Joseph: Anonymous. Actually, to be fair, I saw him throw a few sloppy passes and slip over a couple of times. 5/10
12-Ben Te’o: A bigger lad yet even more anonymous. England needs to see more of him to get over the gain line and put pace into the game. 5/10
11-Elliot Daly: England's best player. Two great finishes. 7.5/10
10-Owen Farrell: 0% off the tee, sloppy passing, a stupid late tackle and general lack of anything to shout about. 4.5/10
9-Richard Wigglesworth: A fantastic box-kicker of the ball but he simply isn't dynamic enough to create try-scoring opportunities. 6/10
1-Mako Vunipola: Often play far more minutes but still made 15 carries in 53 minutes. Cannot avoid blame for scrum problems. 6/10
2-Dylan Hartley: The skipper returned to the side today but did little to inspire his troops with discipline again an issue. 5.5/10
3-Kyle Sinckler: He put in a lot effort and offered more in attack than some of the backs. Not much to complain about. 7/10
MORE STORIES:
4-Maro Itoje: Second season syndrome well and truly in motion. The lock got smashed back every time he carried today and continued to give away penalties. 5.5/10
5-George Kruis: Didn't really take his chance back in the starting XV. 5/10
6-Chris Robshaw: As always put in a workmanlike display but was mostly ineffective. 6/10
7-James Haskell: The flanker brought energy to the battle at the breakdown but he was ultimately outgunned by the superior Irish back-row. 6.5/10
8-Sam Simmonds: 'Oh- sam Simmonds is on the pitch' is a tweet I saw. Unfortunately, he looked too small for a number eight at Test level as he wasn't able to get over the gain line and drive England forward. 6/10
