The England prop threw down the League gauntlet on Twitter, a challenge that was willingly accepted by Excel Esports
The RFU suspended all levels of competitive rugby in England this week due to coronavirus so Genge has turned to streaming video games in his spare time.
He pulled together a team of fellow pro rugby players: Bedford Blues’ Oskar Hirskyj, fellow Tiger Jordan Olowofela, Teimana Harrison from the Northampton Saints, and Gloucester Rugby’s Jamal Ford-Robinson.
However, it was Excel who got schooled as Genge and his team of ruggers swept Excel 2-0, embarrassing the stunned Esport team.
Excel handled the loss with class, offering the ruggers a virtual fistbump on Twitter.
