Since retiring in 2019, Dylan Hartley has moved to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates to take over as Director of Rugby of the Dubai Sharks.
It’s a massive appointment for a club that apparently came close to going out of existence just four years ago due to a lack of players.
“He has made a really strong first impression,” said Matthew Pewtner, the former Wales sevens international who is the Sharks’ head coach.
“It is great to be able to work with someone who is really fresh out of the professional game, having been at the highest level for a long time.
“He brings a different insight, different to what these lads are used to, but different in a really positive way. All the wisdom he brings is just invaluable. His experience speaks for itself.”

International rugby coaching. It's no easy game.
Especially in the modern day, where every result has the potential to make you or break you in the eyes of the masses.
It takes a certain type of character to be successful, but sustaining that success is another matter altogether. There are only a select few who have what it takes to get to the top and stay there.
We tasked a number of our followers to rank the best coaches around with Eddie Jones ranked fifth while two of France's coaches ranked above the controversial Aussie.
Michael Cheika and Dave Rennie found themselves sixth and seventh respectively with Wales' Wayne Pivac and Scotland's Gregor Townsend both ranked above the All Blacks Ian Foster in 10th.
Check out the top five below:
