Dan Carter makes $1.5 million

The NZME reported property records showed the former All Black, who now plays for French glamour side Racing 92, sold the four-bedroom character home in the double grammar zone suburb for $4.5m late last year.

He and wife Honor bought the stately two-storey home for $3,050,000 in 2014.

The 33-year-old signed on with Racing 92 in 2014 to a contract reportedly worth more than $1.6 million a year, making him rugby's highest paid player.

The Carters reportedly finalised the sale of their Remuera home in November last year - a year into his three-year contract in France.
