Midi Olympique, Toulon has signed 22-year-old Matéo Garcia, who was also being pursued by Montpellier and Bayonne.

Biggar, 34, joined Toulon during the 2022-2023 season but has struggled to make a significant impact, largely due to recurring injuries.

With his contract set to expire in June, reports from France indicate that the Welsh international is unlikely to extend his stay at the French club. The future of fellow fly-half Enzo Hervé, 25, also remains uncertain with Garcia's arrival.

Wales fly-half Dan Biggar, a veteran of three Rugby World Cups and two British & Irish Lions tours, has hinted that the curtain may soon fall on his distinguished career.

The 34-year-old, who has also plied his trade in three different countries, boasts over 100 caps for Wales and three Six Nations titles. Speaking candidly, Biggar acknowledged that there may be "not too much more to squeeze out" as thoughts of retirement begin to surface.

In a recent interview with Nation Cymru promoting his autobiography, The Biggar Picture, Biggar reflected on his career and hinted at exploring new ventures outside rugby. "I’ve had a pretty good career, and there’s not too much more to squeeze out,” he said.

“I’m really enjoying the media work, punditry, and corporate opportunities—it’s nice to have more freedom after living on a schedule for 17 or 18 years.”
