Rugby Union fans feel they have been lied to after discovering All Black legend Sonny Bill William's real name.
Williams is a New Zealand heavyweight boxer and a former professional rugby league and rugby union player
. He was born on August 3, 1985, in Auckland, New Zealand.
Williams began his career in rugby league and has played as a second-row forward over eight seasons in three spells in the National Rugby League with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and Sydney Roosters.
A few years into his boxing career, Sonny Williams mentioned that his career as a professional boxer has made him a better sportsman and more confident rugby player.
Despite most of the above being common knowledge, most fans didn't actually know his legal name.
Few fans knew the truth and those who do are stunned.
One fan wrote: "OK, who knew his name was actually Sonny William Williams?"
Another commented: "So glad he stuck with Sonny Bill cos Sonny William Williams isn’t the name of a code hopping sports super star,"
A third said: "I just realised now that his name is Sonny William Williams,"
"HOW HAVE I JUST REALISED. Bill is short for William.. Sonny William Williams? Da fuq?!," commented a fourth.
