"Could lose two" - England confirm Rugby World Cup warm-up games

England and Wales will fine-tune their preparations for the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France with a pair of warm-up internationals against each other.
Wales v England
Date: Saturday 5th August 2023
Venue: Principality Stadium, Cardiff
Kick-off: TBC
Wales will face England at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday 5th August in the first match of a summer double-header between the two fierce rivals.
The match has been scheduled to act as a warm-up for Rugby World Cup 2023, which gets underway in France the following month.
Wales and England have contested a total of 139 rugby test matches since their first meeting in 1881. England have won 67 of those matches, whilst Wales have won 60 matches. There have also been 12 drawn matches between the two nations.

Ireland v England
Date: Saturday 19th August 2023
Venue: Aviva Stadium, Dublin
Kick-off: TBC
Ireland will face England at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Saturday 19th August in the second match of the Bank of Ireland Nations Series.
The match has been scheduled to act as a warm-up for Rugby World Cup 2023, which gets underway in France the following month.
To date, Ireland and England have played each other on 140 occasions since their first meeting in 1875. England have won 80 of those matches, whilst Ireland have won 52 matches. There have also been eight drawn matches between the two nations.
England v Fiji
Date: Saturday 26th August 2023
Venue: Twickenham Stadium, London
Kick-off: 2:00pm
The most recent encounter between the two sides came during the 2016 Autumn Internationals, when England scored nine tries to beat Fiji 58-15 at Twickenham.
Overall, England and Fiji have played each other on seven previous occasions. England maintain a 100% record having won every match.
