The unusually large squad will eventually have to be whittled down to 33 names by the head coachr but for now, plenty of players will be hopeful of making the long list.

While the usual England favourites will no doubt make the cut, several in-form and uncapped players are also set for a call-up.

The forward joined the Exiles from Jersey Reds ahead of the 18/19 season.

He made his Premiership debut for Irish in November 2019 against Wasps and has since been a regular in Declan Kidney’s side.

He made 26 appearances in all competitions in 2019/20, scoring twice in the Gallagher Premiership.

Rogerson was named the Club captain for the 2021/22 season, going on to lead the side to their first appearance in the Heineken Champions Cup for the first time in a decade after an eighth-placed finish in the Gallagher Premiership. 

That year, he made 193 successful tackles (23rd overall in the Premiership) and 380 attacking ruck arrivals (seventh overall in the Premiership). 

Rogerson was also in the top five of ball carries (152) with the third-most carry metres into contact at the Club (681), with his 19 tackle breaks only bettered in the back-row by new signing Tom Pearson (26).

His 380 attacking ruck arrivals that term was only beaten by Rob Simmons (383) at London Irish. 

Murley joined Harlequins’ Academy full-time in the 2017/18 season.

He made his debut for the Club against Scarlets in the Anglo-Welsh Cup in January 2018.

A combative runner who represented England U18s and England U20s, Murley has enjoyed a steady rise in the pecking order at the Club since the 2018/19 season where he scored three tries in 12 appearances.

He followed that up with seven tries in 20 games in 2019/20 and three tries in 14 appearances in 2020/21 including a start in the Premiership Final win over Exeter. 

He brought up his 50th appearance in the first home match of the current season against Worcester Warriors.

Smith joined Northampton Saints in October 2022 on a multi-year deal, with the highly-rated youngster joining the men in Black, Green and Gold from the 2022/23 season onwards.

Smith, grandson of former Scotland and British & Irish Lions loosehead prop Tom Elliot, arrived at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens from Worcester Warriors where he progressed through the Academy set-up, after beginning his club rugby at Shipston-on-Stour in Warwickshire before joining Warwick School.

After playing every match for Warriors in the Premiership Rugby Under-18s Academy League in 2019/20, he signed on full-time with Worcester’s Academy in the summer of 2020.

The talented outside-half became the youngest-ever player to start for Warriors in the Gallagher Premiership in March 2021, when he lined up against Bath at the age of just 18 years and 313 days.

He made 31 senior appearances for Worcester, and his form at Sixways earned him a selection for England Under-20s for the 2021 Six Nations in Cardiff. Smith – who has ten caps for England Under-20s so far – was influential in the Red Rose’s Grand Slam-winning campaign, scoring 31 points in five matches including a try against Scotland.

Smith was named again in England Under-20s EPS for 2022, but did not feature during the Six Nations as he instead held down the No.10 jersey for Warriors in the Gallagher Premiership, during a campaign which also saw him lift the Premiership Rugby Cup with Worcester.

The fly-half also enjoyed a spell with Ampthill in the RFU Championship on a dual registration, before locking down the No.10 jersey back with Warriors during the 2021/22 campaign.

Pearson joined the London Irish Senior Academy following his time at Cardiff Metropolitan University. 

The back-row forward made 28 BUCS Super Rugby appearances, 14 Welsh Championship appearances and was named in the BUCS Super Rugby Team of the Year during his time in Wales.

Pearson made a creditable impression in his first season with Irish, making 19 appearances for the first team alone with three tries.

In his first team debut, Pearson made the most tackles in Round 6 of the Gallagher Premiership (25) and contributed to the Club's first win that season over Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park.

He made the most tackle breaks (26) and offloads (8) in Irish's forward players in the 2021/22 Premiership, with his 59 defensive ruck arrivals in the top five amongst the Exiles pack that year.

England came calling for Pearson after an impressive start to life in west London, playing his part in several training camps throughout the 2021/22 year.

The Rugby Players' Association nominated Pearson for their 15 Under-23 MVP of the Month for November 2021, and was included in the organisation's Under-23 Team of the Season alongside teammate Ollie Hassell-Collins.

The youngster was also credited with the James Naughton Memorial Trophy for the Young Player of the Year at the 2022 London Irish Academy Golf Day.

To cap off a sensational year, Pearson was one of six Senior Academy players promoted to the first team set-up under Declan Kidney's staff ahead of the 2022/23 season.

A barnstorming young hooker, Dan has burst onto the scene this season with a series of standout performances. Whilst his work at the scrum and line out are impressive, it is his carrying ability and work around the park that has made people sit up and take notice.
