According to Mail Online, powerful back-rower Alfie Barbeary has agreed to join the North London side, despite Bath’s recent attempts to tie the dynamic forward down to a new contract.

Barbeary, widely regarded as one of the Premiership’s most destructive ball-carriers, is expected to add further punch to Saracens’ forward pack as they reshape their squad under the incoming Venter regime.

The club have also secured the services of former NRL centre Sione Va’enuku, who will arrive from Saracens’ partner club Ampthill. Va’enuku previously played for the Sydney Roosters before making the switch to the UK in 2024.

The hard-running midfielder is qualified to represent England and has impressed since moving into the English system, making him an intriguing addition to Saracens’ backline options.
