Bath confirms four more leavers - including three internationals

The club said in a statement: "Everyone at Bath would like to thank the quartet for their efforts in Blue, Black and White."

They follow the likes of Anthony Watson, Danny Cipriani and Taulupe Faletau out of the club this summer.

He was born in Australia to a New Zealand mother and English father, both rugby enthusiasts.

He has been one of the most consistent performers in the Gallagher Premiership since graduating from the Wasps Academy in 2008. 

The scrum-half headed into the Black and Gold’s first team striking up an electric partnership with Danny Cipriani, culminating in the duo playing 53 Wasps games together across the latter’s two spells at the club. 

Featuring over 250 times for Wasps in 13 years, one-cap England international Simpson signed for Gloucester in 2019 where he scored 11 tries in 29 matches ahead of a short-term deal with Saracens in 2021/22.

He earned his Bath Rugby debut against Harlequins in October 2021 and has been an influential person for the young scrum-halves at the club.

The Tonga international signed from Ospreys back in February as injury cover for Johannes Jonker until the end of the season.

A 2009 Junior World Cup winner with New Zealand Under-20s, Fia played provincial rugby for Manawatu before spending three seasons in the Highlanders’ Super Rugby squad.

He switched to Wales with the Ospreys in 2015 and his performances for the Swansea-based outfit saw him earn his first of 11 Tonga caps in 2018, before representing his country at the Rugby World Cup a year later.

The lock joined from Ealing on a short-term deal back in March. He will now return to the Championship club after making four appearances in all competitions.

The Wales international signed on a short-term basis as injury cover in the back three for Bath Rugby in December 2021.

Born in Porthcawl, Prydie recently left the Scarlets after four seasons in West Wales and bolsters the club’s options on the wing and at full-back.

He created history in 2010 by earning his Test debut at the age of 18 years and 25 days against Italy in the Six Nations, and he eclipsed a near 120-year record by becoming his country’s youngest-ever try-scorer 77 days later.
